US maintains import tariffs on EU steel and aluminium

The US Section 232 tariffs hit more than $6 billion of EU steel and aluminum exports in 2018. Later on the tariff-rate quotas were introduced to soften the burden on the EU industry. However, there is still no clarity from the U.S. side on a clear timeline and how the 232 tariff-rate quotas would be removed.
